The TRIPS details are not linked to the iPhone Calendar, which is a bit dissapointing. The Flight details need to have Gate, Seat and a link to a FF account. If this was linked to the vendors REWARDS application and flight the points for each sector could be stored....this would be a great improvement. Nice interface and easy to use. (translate)

I think this app has a lot of potential but needs a bit of work. You can't put in your flight times; there's no option to list non hotel accommodation (it would be great to be able to denote particular nights as staying with someone on your contacts list, for example); you can't enter in multi day events (eg a conference or trade show); and if you add an event to a trip, it won't save it unless you save the whole trip. That said, if they can fix all these things it will be great. (translate)

Nice user interface that brings up your travel info in a nice neat summary... but was very disappointed that when you enter your flight info, that there is only provision for the date, not even the actual time the flight leaves/arrives.It needs to be updated ASAP with these overlooked 'features'... what's the point of knowing the details of your flight if you don't know when it leaves!Other things input screens need more options but besides the obvious inadequacies of its input/summary its generally nice illustrated and the basic interface works well. This seems very stable. I am enjoying it but would like the option to add my own car company etc as I travel in a lot of places where the car chains don't work with this app. Also "other transport" would be good for trains, bus, taxi etc... In all options I would like a phone contact field open for a local contact so it can be customized to call a phone number of my choosing. It's getting there but needs a liitle more flexibility ... Basically is good, except for flights information retrieve: you can not update the flight 'schedule' for 3 days later. But mostly when I set my flight schedule, I just need a 'schedule', not the exact flight info. It will be very smart to give 'schedule' time first and when within 3days before the schedule, update for the exact flight. One more minor issue is: flight duration,including the transition time for connecting flight, is very important for frequent traveller. It will be very user friendly to have that point. I planned my 4-week trip to Malaysia with this app. Just a view minor problems, which could be solved with an update: - No Gate/Terminal/Seat field provided within the section "flight" - really important! - Backup? - What about new modes like: bus, train, ferry, etc.? I bought the application as I travel a lot for business. But the first time I used it was for a big trip that envolved many pieces of information, 8 flights, 2 car hires, six hotels, etc. I ended all the information which does take some time. After the first flight which was a long haul and moved me seven time zones I changed the time on my iPod. The next time I looked at the application it had moved every piece of information I had entered forward seven hours also. As I had originally entered all times as local this was very frustrating. Please fix this issue or the app us useless if your travelling outside your time zone. (translate)

I have long waited such an app. and am glad I bought it. It does the job, helps you plan and put in order your itineraries, but it still lacks important features. I would be happy if there was an option to input flight hours manually, alongside the automatic wifi option. I would also like to see more transportation input options such as train or cab, etc. Budget, is completely missing there as well as car mileage calculation. Also a diary option, or enough room for remarks or trip impressions and general notes is missing. The <edit> option should be available at the input stage also and not only after you have saved the whole trip. All in all, it is very basic - a skeleton of a utility software. I hope it grows some fat in the near future. (translate)

Does integrate with Tripit but almost none of the functionality you have in the web app. e.g. addresses in online version will show up in Google Maps, but iPhone version doesn't synchronise properly so you don't get an address to view, let alone open it in Maps.Certainly not worth $13.99Avoid. This new version (2.0) has a beautiful interface. This is the 5th such trip/flight status app I've bought and although some further and useful functionality is promised in future updates (the developer is very responsive), this is the app for me. Two things make a great app - functionality and looks - this has the looks and the function is 95% there. It's a pleasure to use. The developer deserves kudos for a carefully thought out app. (translate)

Just realised it's also missing ferries / boats. Maybe replace the "flights" option with a "travel" option, then be able to pick mode of transport - plane, boat, train, car, bike or on foot. Keep the flights working the same way as they do now, but for the others be able to input starting point, destination, stops/changes (not strictly necessary as you could add each leg as a separate journey), and travel time. It would also be nice to be able to add duration for flights, so the expected arrival time is shown before the flight status is available.... Oh, and you should be able to add your own hotels for those of us who stay in obscure places. Would also be good to have the option to add staying with family/friends, although these could be added as custom hotels... Thanks! (translate)

This is a TOTAL waste of time. Not all airlines are included including common ones like Easyjet. You have to key in everything and the method of entry is slow and not intuitive. If I enter four events for a trip on 21 Aug 09 then it defaults to today's date for every event and it takes AGES to scroll to the correct date each timeYou can't enter a hotel which isn't part of a chainYou can't enter a train journeyIts a good concept but simply doesn't workIf it covered all types of transport, all hotel types and picked up details from emails rather than having to retype everything then it could be goodBut as it is... its simply tedious and not worth itThis is simply someone creating an application that doesn't deliver and where Calendar (which imports information) or paper are simply betterSave your money and use a bit of paper insteadDON'T BUY IT (translate)

This App came in very handy on a recent dive trip I dive a couple of weeks ago to Sipadan, which involved 3 connecting flights with hotel stop over. All flight info was correct and up to date. It even told me about the delay on the main flight back to the UK from Kuala Lumpar before we were told at the airport ( which I did think was an error when I first saw it, but Trips turned out to be correct, it was delayed). Easy to use and works on 2G and 3G without problem. Well worth the money, one of my fav Apps for my iPone! (translate)

Do know if I expected too much, after all it's not a lot of money, but after Reading the previous review I thought I'd found the ideal program for entering my forthcoming holiday. On entering airline details you can't enter the flight times and required check in times, no where to enter baggage allowance details either. I'm being collected from the airport, tried to enter this in car section but it asumes I'm renting a car and won't allow me to proceed without entering the car rental company details. Entered a new hotel in the hotels list, made a mistake and found there was no edit button or way of deleting it, ended up duplicating the hotel entry. Far to many bugs in the design of this program for my liking- can't understand why the pre designed information entry boxes are not able to be customized, this would probably have solved many of the issues. I won't be using this program again until the design has undergone extensive changes. Sorry this all sounds so negative- just being honest, I would loved it to work, perhaps it's just my holiday doesn't fit their predesigned boxes ! (translate)

Trips comes close to storing all of my travel data, but it is missing a key piece: it doesn't allow you to store flight times. This information is available in flight status, but flight status isn't available for future flights. I also expected that Trips would interact with my calendar to add flight times and meeting appointments, but it doesn't.Overall, it is a good start, but not a complete replacement for all my travel information. The new update puts the Trips App into a great working travel application. As a frequent traveller, I need my flight, hotel, events, and car rental info in an easy to read format. I also need to access the info easily. The new update now makes that all possible. Plus you can now dial out without having to manually write down telephone numbers. No more fumbling around for a pen and paper to write down a telephone number for the hotel or car rental and then having to re-enter the number to make the call. That has finally been fixed. I have a number of flights in different cities with different meetings, events, hotels, and dining appointments. The Trips app keeps all my itineraries within easy access. For someone who does any sort of traveling, whether it be a staycation (somewhere in town), away (using airline transportation), or a frequent business traveller (appointments, events, dining), this is a great app to have. This has the best interface of the travel apps I have seen by far. Clean and easy to understand. However, there are some serious items missing mostly related to TripIt.1. Notes from flights are not downloaded. They are from hotel and meetings, but not flights. WHY?2. There is no facility to edit TripIt items, itineraries, etc.3. No ability to add itinerary items for TripIt downloaded trips.I realize that these are probably issues related to pushing the data back to TripIt and syncing everything. My suggestion would be to at least make it one way for now. Maybe allow us to convert a tripit download to a local trip so that once we on the trip we can edit things as needed. A good start, fix these and it will be at least a four star app. (translate)

This application has good potential and the developer has made a nice start. Besides the flaws that other reviews have noted another issue is that it is not well integrated into native iPhone capabilities. For example the phone fields for hotels do not activate the phone, one has to remember the number and then exit and dial. Similarly, addresses do not link to Maps and give directions. Hopefully more improvements will be coming soon. (translate)

Reviewed 1/28/09I had such high hopes for this app, especially with the $7 price tag. This app could be so much more, but right now, it's worth $.99. The main thing the developer really needs to include is more, what I call, clickability. For example, if you pull up a hotel, the app has the main 800 reservation number for you. You can click it and it will call the hotel. But I wanted to add the actual hotel property number. If you add it in the notes section (the only place to add it), the program will not recognize it as a number. If you click it, it will not dial. And with no cut & paste on the iphone, you have to memorize the number, leave the app, open the phone, and then call. Similarly, I was going to a concert, so I entered the venue website. Again, the program would not recognize it as a url. If you click on it, it should open up Safari and bring you to the site. And the biggest kick in the teeth, is it is not integrated with the iphone's maps program. When you enter an address for your hotel, venue, meeting location, anything, it will not allow you to click on the address to open up maps so you can find directions.Right now, this program is really nothing more than a place to store all your info for a trip. It takes so much time to enter all the info, that it is just easier to do it the old fashioned way and print out all your confirmation emails and bring them with you.The notes section also cuts off what you entered after X amount of characters, and the only way to see all of what you wrote is to open it up to the edit screen.The program will check your flights. It will call hotel/car rental 800 numbers for you as well as bring you to their websites (this info is programmed in already). But again, it could be so much more, and for $7, I expected more. Develepor was quick to respond to email and says the program is heading in the direction of everything I mentioned above. My recommendation is to wait for future versions before purchasing.Updated: 3/4/09The developer has seemed to abandon the app. Developer said many of my ideas were in the works, but there have been no updates since 12/1. Beyond disappointed and can clearly say without any hesitation that this is the one app out of the 100 or so I've purchased where I feel like I was taken advantage of. Do not waste your money.Updated 3/25/09I think the developer just released a new version so reviews for previous versions would get buried. Beware, developer raised the price by $2 and added NOTHING new. I purchased this after reading reviews and thought it was going to be good, not perfect, but good to organize my trips. I cannot put in my home airport location or any others from Southeast Alaska. They don't exist in this program and you can't add them. I wanted a place where I could organize my trips, I put in one trip (except my airport since it wouldn't take it) and wanted to enter another trip and it would not let me enter the second trip. Paying $7 for a program that doesn't work is a WASTE of money. I am VERY disappointed. Maybe there will be a fix oneday,but until then I am disappointed. (translate)

I purchased this due to its interface and ease of use. I liked many things about the product, however the constant inputting put me off and so when another similar app - travel tracker added 'tripit' i bought that - although more expensive it is 1000% sleeker and more convenient and is well thought out. There are things that i don't like about that app but the developer seems more willing to make 'real' changes. What i liked about this app was its email feature, its UI, and its accessing to airline data. Unfortunately all other similar apps have advanced way beyond this app to the point that i no longer use this app and feel that this was a waste of time. Until, the developer is prepared to match and go beyond what the competition are offering - My answer is DON"T BUY (translate)

I anxiously awaited this latest version hoping the developer would fix some of the problems I pointed out in a private email. But alas, none of my issues have been resolved.- There is no field for airline arrival time, and no reporting of the length of the flight.- There is no way to enter airline reserved seat numbers, or the cost of the ticket. In fact, the notes field is not present for air flights at all.- When entering a hotel or event far in the future, you have to spin the date/time wheel to that date from "today", but then when entering the check-out date the default of the date/time wheel is still "today" instead of being the prior entered check-in date, so the wheel needs to be spinned anew.I was hoping that this app would provide the basic functionality of TravelTracker at a far lower price, but that is not yet the case. Very easy to use inter-phase. I havent really put it to test since I have no scheduled business trips coming up in the near future. The big BUT that I have is that you have to input everything in manually. As a business traveler, time is gold and we need things to be ready, on the go and fast. I got the app with the hopes that in the future the developper improves its fetching method. It would be GREAT if for your ittineraries, all you'd have to do is enter the confirmation numbers (Reservation #, carrier, etc..): the least amount of information possible to build your Trip. I spent about 20 minutes inputing 4 flights I have for one trip in late december (no car, hotels, meetings at least yet) - this is no good when all that was really needed was my confirmation number and with what airline. That would have taken me 10 seconds (vs 20 mins). Again, the app looks great and I am anxious to see it while it's working and giving me flight updates and all but for 6:99 I was honestly expecting a little more comfort. For that reason I will only give it 2 stars. (translate)

Great idea, but still needs work to really be useful. Takes alot of time to enter all the info, and it's not clear that it save time over simply printing itineraries. Minor quirks: For flights, it lets you input departure time, but not arrivals (any way it could download schedule from the airline??). When entering travel dates/time, it would be great if the default wasn't always "today" & used common sense--if the hotel check in is 12/1/08, then it should know my checkout date will be after 12/1. If the hotel name is longer than the text box, there is no way to scroll over to see the rest. Once hotel entered, it is impossible to edit/delete name. Would be nice if there were a notes page for the flight (the hotel, car, etc all have this). (translate)

In my Palm days before the iPhone I had an application similar to Trips - a good application but it cost $30. After getting the iPhone 3G I saw that the same Palm app for the iPhone was available but again for $30. I think that's just too much for an application. Trips cost $6 and is migrating into a really good app. The developer listens to our suggestions and is adding the good ones to his app. Sure, there are things that need to be added or changed but overall this is developing into a really good app and I believe it's going to get even better. I really do like the interface of this application, it's very attractive and easy to use. I had issues with the app last time I was waiting at the airport, it seemed that the scroll wheel went around for ages and nothing happened. However, there's been an update since so fingers crossed. One major thing I would love to see added to this app is the ability to email itineraries. Otherwise, I love it. 4 stars for now, we'll see how the reliability goes and the email function would be fantastic. (translate)

Functional and well made - a great start for the complete travel tracking program. It has all the features you need (tracking flights, hotels, cars, etc) and room for enhancement. I look forward to seeing auto population of flight data based on date and flight number, auto population of data information based on previously entered data (i.e. return flights, pick up rental car after flight lands, etc) and the ability to share information with others via e-mail. Be warned though, this app crashes ALL the time. I mean, put in an entry then quit out to ensure it saves otherwise-bye bye last entry. This is is the first app for the iPhone where I found myself tapping the glass hard with gritted teeth - it's quirky. Would it be that hard to put in a flight time( not just date)-I mean that's kind important. And how about putting in major airlines first. I got sick of digging through Uganda air and Ullawoolu air just to get to United! What about an alarm/ping built in-aka iCal.maybe also some more imoji? Symbols to break up the event entry so you can instantly see what the event is; (eg:church/temple/ruins/beach-stuff you do on vacation) symbols so you see what the event is. Can you get the numbers/websites of the hotels etc to link? I couldn't. Like I said, it grows on you. Past the quirky data entry - I look forward to rev 2 as long as I don't have to re enter all my info. (translate)

This program reminds me of one that I had years ago on my Apple Newton. I wish it worked as well as that one. There are so many problems with this application, I'll list just a few.1. After spending a lot of time entering information for long trips, the information just disappears.2. If one makes an date error on a flight and goes back to fix it, the program only fixes it withing "Flights" and not on the whole "Trip" creating huge date gap problems.3. Airline names and airport names are difficult to enter, e.g. you can't just type "UA" for United, but most type "United" to get UA.4. The whirlgig on entering dates is very erratic and hard to use, giving bad dates quite often.5. Generally using the program is a waste of time until it is fixed. (translate)

I really liked this application. Easy to use, simple with all the info I need keeping track (for my trips). Just a couple of adjustments but this is still version 1.0. So probably will get even better with future updates!!! I recomend it. (translate)

I like the app overall. There are a couple of things that could be improved though. First, it is way to easy to swipe and delete all fo the information you just entered. There really should be a delete confirm function. Second, I would like the times on the flights to fill in earlier. I am really looking forward to some updates!! (translate)

Very handy for travelers; keeps all your appointments, confirmation nuumbers, and connections in one place. A few additions and tweaks would make it ideal: (1) Allow the whole itinerary to be e-mailed. (2) The flight status information doesn't come up right away; maybe not until a few hours before the flight. In the meantime, the flights are unscheduled and hence out of order within the itinerary. This is disconcerting. (3) when adding new hotels, there are blanks for noting the phone number and address, but they are unworkable. I'm looking forward to 1.2. (translate)

A decent utinerary app! I noticed that there are no times for my flight ( assuming that will show up when it's able to track it that day?!). I'd love to have times listed in the itunes screen for flights tho! Also would like google map links for things like the hotel, etcc.. Very nice start tho! Highly recommended. Looking forward to a few updates, tho for a 5 star rating. (translate)
