Has all the functions I was lacking in iPhone mail ap. Shame about having to pay for push. Sometimes screens jump sporadically tho due to strange icons centre screen. These are rather annoying. (translate)

I've always wanted a native gmail app and this is great. Looks just like gmail in the browser because that's what it is, but works better because of easy offline access, better use of screen and built-in browser (for attachments etc.) - which is better than opening a new tab etc. Well done to the developers. I haven't used it for that long buy haven't encountered any problems so far. One thing I REALLY want is an easy way to go forward and backward one message in a conversation, like the n and p keyboard shortcuts in a computer's browser. (translate)

Once in a while it exhibits a bug which makes u re-enter your login details again, and reset some stuff from the setting menu. Also, emails with pics tend to not display properly, so it's not exactly a replacement for Gmail on PC yet. Otherwise, it's a great app! (translate)

Why is the app spamming me with promotional messages? You used it over 1000 times why not buying this extra... Why not saving battery and buy push notifications? Just not accettable!!! I have used every Gmail dedicated app for the iPhone and believe this one is the best. Sure you need to pay some money for some features. Given the way the program works, the cost is worth it. I like the apps speed, the notification sounds, the extra which allows you to immediately see Google News, etc. Good job. (translate)

If I could I would rate this NO stars. They charge you for push on the basis that they don't store your password, but unless you set up a local "server" that's always on; on your pc then they have to save your password. Also and this is a biggy I have yet to find a way to attach anything. Even if you can and I suspect you can't, it's so unintuitive it's pointless. The iPhone email app Will inform you that you have mail and will allow attachments all be it in a cumbersome cut and paste way. Don't get this, you're wasting your money. (translate)

Quite happy with this program. Emailed support about push notifications not working one day and heard back within hours, which is not bad at all. The problem was at their end and was fixed. The only glitch I have found is that sometimes an email gets cut off in the middle with a black space at the bottom. I close the email, return to "menu", re-open it and all is well. Occasionally it takes a couple of back-and-forth trips, but to me it's only a minor annoyance. Perhaps it can be fixed in a new update. I much prefer this to Apple Mail. This app adds a couple nice features, push would be nice but I don't trust it until I see if it pushes fast enough to be useful, no free trial is annoying. The latest update brings the shopping cart which holds paid updated front and center. So i paid for a subscription and the app tells me i SHOULD be able to hide the shopping cart after I have bought on item but it seems subscriptions aren't included in this? I have no need for the only other thing in the shopping cart which is google app support, so the latest update, which should have made the shopping cart lest obtrusive has made it more so by bringing it front and center with no way to remove it! Very nice app! I use it quite often instead of iPhone's Mail application. There is room for improvement. Eg when u reply or forward an email it looses it's format. I wish there was a way to luck the old matterial and make them uneditable so that u could preserve original formatting. Then for example u would type ur MSG on top of the old uneditable part. The full screen feature is nice and thus now replaces my Google app for email purposes. I will likely also use it instead of the iPhone mail app if it says stable. Not sure what the "pay to login" comment is about. I've paid nothing. Two compaints: (1) Any way to turn off that translucent menu bar? (2) why is push being sold for an annual year? If i can only get it for 40 days it should be free for the remainder of 09 so we can try it out an resubscribe in January. (translate)

Well I downloaded the app and before I purchased the in app push. I emailed the company to ask a few questions. Well it wasn't 5 mins and I recieved a reply. So because of the fast service I purchased the push notifications. Well then there was a bit of an issues with my timezone but again emailed the guy and he emailed me back right away and told me how to fix it and everything works great now. There are a couple minor minor bugs but talking the the gentleman on email he is on it and fixing as we speak. 5 stars for service and 4 1/2 for product. Thank you (translate)

Esto es lo mismo que entrar en gmail desde el safari. Lo único de más es que se puede agitar el iphone para seleccionar todo. El problema es que para el uso de push guardan tu acceso de gmail en su base de datos. Algo poco recomendable de compartir con extraños. Provoca que caigas facilmente en la trampa de escribir tu acceso la primera vez que accedes. (translate)

J'utilise cette application depuis 6 mois. Souvent en rade, elle n'est plus du tout fiable depuis la mise à jour OS4. Je l'ai désinstallée pour la réinstaller puisque je ne recevais plus aucune alerte push : j'ai été obligé de payer une 2e fois pour avoir la version push ! Et cela ne fonctionne toujours pas... Accessoirement, l'accès à l'application est très long. Beaucoup trop long. J'ai changé d'appli pour Push Gmail : non seulement c'est moins cher, mais c'est ultra rapide, et surtout... ça marche ! Avec en plus un choix de ringtones et un paramétrage simplifié. (translate)

Je n'aurai rien à dire de particulier sur cette application si seulement elle ne se présentait comme une application gratuite alors qu'elle ne l'est pas ! (surtout que ça ne risque pas de durer)En effet, elle ne propose rien de plus que d'accéder à l'interface Gmail pr iPhone à laquelle on accède déjà depuis Safari. Aucun travail de la part des developpeurs à ce niveau là donc.En revanche, les fonctions supplémentaires vantées ds le descriptif (tel que le Push et Google apps) sont proposées en achats intégrées si bien que l'on se demande quel intérêt de venir polluer nos téléphone avec une première application qui n'apporte.. rien à part un caddie en fond d'écran pr les achats intégrés?!Mais le summum, c'est qu'à bien y regarder, les achats intégrés proposés ne sont valables que 1an!! The app is really good, especially with a Google Apps account. You've to pay for push and Apps support, but it's not a big deal. However after the last update, that should have improved speed, the app is reeeeeeeeally slow and sometimes the badge reports e-mails that are not in the mailbox. I completely support this app that gives you more power and control on Gmail's iphone version. iGmail gives you a wider readable screen for inbox and messages and add some intuitive controls that you really need to go: trough emails one by one, from top to bottom in a thread or back to inbox. All these are just under your thumb: very easy and useful. In the while I don't understand if iGmail gives you more working offline. Anyway my rate is 5 stars! (translate)

Very good for offline work, fast push and very nice osd. I confirm it's faster than other gmail apps. Has some bugs to be fixed (example I can't have a preview of ringtone for push notification in settings) but I tried this app several months ago and since then has made giant steps so i'm confident it will continue get better. <7/21追記> 最新版へのVerupで、これまでの不安定さが嘘のように、安定して使えるようになりました。 タスクを切り替えて戻って来ても再読込しないので快適。 時々読み込みに失敗して、画面が真っ白になるバグ？はまだ残っていますが、 他のメリットがそれを補っているように思います。 あとは、あの画面の真ん中あたりに出ているボタンの位置を変更できれば言う事無し。 （ボタンそのものは使っているので、ONかOFFかではなく、場所を変更したい） <～7/20> 3GS, iOS4, 有料オプションのAppsにて利用していました。 電波が弱い環境での利用が不安定で、ログインに失敗することが多い。 起動が遅く、類似ソフトであるMailroomの約2倍かかります。 新規メールの読み込みができず、画面が真っ白になってしまうことが多い。 キャッシュクリアすると治るのてすが、すぐに同じ症状でまたキャッシュクリア、というのを繰り返して、 いやになって使わなくなりました。 シェイクで全選択、アプリを切り替えずWeb表示、メール本文のコピーなど、 このアプリの方がいい点も多いのですが、起動が遅いのと、ログインが不安定なのが致命的。 無線LAN環境だとログインは安定しますが、遅さはかわらず。 (translate)

※ 追記(v4.2.0) 起動が遅い、ボタンが表示されない、シェイクで全選択できないなどの不具合は解消されました。 ローテーションのロックができるようになったので、寝ながらメールができます。 バッジの不具合は悪化し、メールを読んでも、トップ画面に戻らないと未読数が更新されなくなりました。 ※ 追記(v4.1.0) Gmailのバージョンアップ以降？、他で閲覧した未読がすぐに反映されなくなりました。 次の通知時に更新されるようで、バッジと実際の未読数が違うことがよくあるようになってしまいました。 そんなに困ることでは無いですが、出来れば修正して欲しい。 web版のGmailに、前後のメールや一つ上の階層に行くボタンがついただけのものですが、なかなかかゆい所に手が届きます。 特に、前後のメールが見たい時に、web版だと一番下までスクロールさせないとボタンが出ないので、非常に便利です。 あと、docomoなどの絵文字は、標準メーラーだと文字化けしますが、webの英語版だときれいに表示されるので、Gmailでデコメや絵文字を受信される人にオススメです。 注意点として、モバイルGmailが最新バージョンじゃないとさまざまな機能が使えません。 現在、日本語版はバージョンが古いので、メニューが日本語で表示されている方は、 一番下、表示形式のところの「PC」というところを押して、右上の「設定」から、言語をEnglish(US)に設定してください。 課金アイテムについて PUSH通知は標準のPUSH取得と比べてバッテリーを消費しないようです。 通知は送信者とタイトルとその両方が選べます。本文は表示されません。 バッジは新着ではなく受信トレイの未読数で、未読を消化しない限り消えません。 Gmailと連動していて、PCなどで閲覧してもすぐに反映されます。 他のアプリと比べて1年間600円は高額ですが、使い勝手はいいです。 ズーム機能ははほとんど役に立たないので、それを目当てに買うのはオススメしません。 あと、要望として、 半透明のキーが少し邪魔なので、下段にまとめてもらえると嬉しい。 PUSHの着信音に使える音があまりないので、システム標準の音とか、もう少し増やして欲しい。 PUSH通知に本文を表示してほしい。 (translate)

PushGmailなど色々試しましたが、このアプリのプッシュ通知が最も早く正確でした。年間契約ですがセール中でお安くなってますので気になる人は試してみてはどうでしょうか。 欠点ですが、プッシュ通知の音がものすごく大きくてびっくりしました。個人差あるとおもいますが。。なので私は無音にしてサウンドは他のメール転送通知系のアプリを併用してます。正確さではこのアプリが一番なのですが。 選べるRingtoneの数も少ないです。このあたり改善されれば最高です。 (translate)

結局、年契約のプッシュも試しましたがいまいち、ただ去年の話しなのと値段が安い時だったので今はわかりません。 Private Push などと言う珍しい形のプッシュ通知が出てきたので試してみました、単にPHPのスクリプトなのでUNIXなどでも動くと思います。 サーバを他人任せにしてない分負荷がかからないのかほぼ確実にプッシュ通知してくれます、バージョンが4に上がってから更に安定したようでメールの多い時などは逆にやかましいくらいです。通知しない時間なども設定出来ますし、常時何らかのサーバを上げていてGmailをバリバリ使う人には最強かもしれません、動作も他のアプリと比べても早いと思いますし。 ただ年課金の場合はプッシュを使いたい場合は高いですね、確実性がどの程度なのかが一番の問題ですが、一度Private Push を使ってしまうと他のアプリを使う気にはなれません、アイデアは良いのですがやはりプッシュ通知はどのアプリでも確実性が命なので使って一番良いと思ったアプリを使うのが一番よさそうです、私はこのアプリから離れられなくなりましたが。 (translate)

バージョンアップしたら以前の仕様とは微妙に変わり、Push Gmailよりも少しだけ画面が広く使えるだけのアプリになりました。その代わりGmailに接続できなくなるようなトラブルもなくなりましたが。安定化のためにほとんどの機能を落とすというのはどうかと。Push対応が年間115円なら、買い切りのPush Gmailのほうがいいかなと思いました。よく見ると、ストアのスクリーンショットと実際に動いているアプリの画面がまったく違いますね。ちゃんとデバッグしているんでしょうか？-------------------高速起動かつ使用感もサクサク。iPhone上でもラベル管理ができるので便利です。オフライン起動は、時々失敗することがあるみたいです（条件は不明）。もっともiPhoneの場合、３Ｇ接続もありますのであまり問題にはなりません。寝ながらメールチェック派向けに、右向きに寝っ転がるとオートローテーションしない仕様もなにげに便利です。他の方もおっしゃってましたが、あとpushに対応していただければ完璧ですね。 (translate)

Geen fijn programma. Staat dat dit het snelste Gmail programma is maar het is zeer traag. Er is totaal geen overzicht. Je kan beter naar de Google-startpagina gaan en dan van de Gmail pagina een snelkoppeling maken. Werkt iets beter maar het blijft tobben met Gmail op de iPhone!! This application by itself is super handy for ussing gmail on your Iphone. With the extra in app purchases it even get's beter. The Private push is Awesome and the iGmail Plus makes reading email on the iPhone some much more easy. Totally worth the money those 2 extra's. Also the support is great and quick. This app seems to load up Gmail web-interface faster than any of mail-apps I´ve tried and paid for (all using Gmail´s web-interface). This app also have some "special touch-features", which is quite nice.I still await a true and native Gmail-app that will be be as fast as the iPhones Mail-app, and include threaded mails the way we all know Gmail. And not as a web-interface...Come on, devs, keep pushing Google to let you in on the API´s or whatever you need!EDIT for new version, 2.1: Great work! Now with push notifications it´s almost perfect. I say almost because most others who have push-notifications, provide it for free. Paying a buck is next to nothing, but why charge for the rest of 2009 which is 2 1/2 months? What´s the charge for 2010? Hopefully just a buck there as well!Anyway, this app is the best so far for managing you Gmail-account, but it´s still in Gmails webinterface, with extra features of course.I wish for another sound when new mails trigger the push-notification. ich sehe den nutzen von igmail nicht. es schaut aus wie der google mail client und bietet nicht mehr als google's eigener gmail-client kann. als "mehrwert" bleibt lediglich, dass igmail im hintergrund schaltflächen für "go-to-top", "go-to-bottom" und "back" und für "einkaufswagen" anzeigt; mit letzterem wird man außerdem laufend erinnert, die igmail push-funktion zu abonnieren. I don't entirely agree with some of the ui elements (shopping cart - you can turn it off), but this app is better than gmail in the browser browser. Push notifications are a plus, but they cost extra. Same for gmail for your domain. It's still worth it for me (: (translate)

Everytime I open this app. It always brings me to my messages on April 16 2010 then it loads the new messages. Sometimes it takes more than a min to load my new messages. It needs a minimum of a 3G speed to work. If I'm not on 3G it does not load my messages. The push email works fine most of the time but there are days when it does not work at all. Wierd. (translate)

Отличный улучшитель веб-гмэйла. Очень удобно пользоваться, быстро привыкаешь к фичам и уже непонятно, как жил без них. Попользовавшись встроенными в айфон пушем и аймапом, пришел к выводу, что самое функциональное - веб-интерфейс. А эта софтина делает его удобным. Если нужны Apps и пуш - можно уж не пожалеть сто рублей. Еще одно преимущество веб-интерфейса перед встроенным почтовым клиентом: письма нормально читаются получателем в Outlook, никаких проблем с кодировкой. UPD к версии 4: Разработчик написал, что идеальная работа возможна лишь с английской версией гмэйла - так и есть. Но оно того стоит. (translate)

iGmail ist konzipiert für die neue Version von Gmail. Da die deutsche Gmail-Version nicht auf dem neusten Stand ist, ist sie nicht kompatibel mit iGmail. So gibt es Probleme mit der Anzeige im Querformat und der Offline-Modus ist nicht vorhanden. Wer also iGmail in vollem Funktionsumfang nutzen möchte, muss auf Gmail in englisch umstellen (dies lässt sich nur über die Spracheinstellung der Desktop-Version von Gmail bewerkstelligen, nicht über die Spracheinstellung von Google Mobile). Some shortcomings that force me to rely on other clients at times (ibisMail): - no choice of sender ID: I agregate all my mails to gmail, but when responding, the default ID is not necessarily the one that I need to use. - some formating issues and links internal to the message on complex newsletter mails are better handled by ibisMail (though inelegantly) or even the native iPhone client. Otherwise, the interface is almost perfect. On this aspect, the app has earned it's name: "gmail on iPhone". Both Apple and Google would probably approve the UI. Solve those two issues, and you have a 5. (translate)

I expected this app to load fast, get my emails more quickly than the iPhone email system and work well offline. Offline mode works fine and is pretty much the only good thig about this app compared to the online version from google. Push does not work. I paid the extra money and never got a push notification after successful setup. The app takes more than 15 seconds to load and only then starts updating tue emails: useless for a quick email check on the go. The fact that you have to pay extra for google apps accounts support (which I did) is not fair either. When will somebody bring a really good gmail app for the iPhone to the app store? Will it have to be google? To the developer: happy to answer any questions you may have about this post. (translate)

There isn't anything exciting about this app. It's pretty much full screen web gmail that is supposed to work offline but it doesn't. Every time I launch I get "no emails" screen and after 10-15 seconds all my emails appear so I guess they are being downloaded every time I launch the app. How do I make it to work offline? The basic idea is simple and good—a dedicate gmail mobile app, that's loads quicker, caches and can work offline. I've used is for a fee days and just bought the push today—impressed by tge speed of the alerts. Moving gmail onto iGmail allowed me to set up my company exchange server and still have push gmail. I think this is worth the annual fee. My only niggle is that i've passed my email password to a third party—igmail do offer a work around, for the technically inclined, which looks a bit intimidating. I think this is a great app, and does the job well. (translate)

You can't even use PUSH unless you buy an annual subscription, and then you have dig your way through a ridiculously long list of complicated installation instructions to make it work... and if that's not enough, you have to install a script on your computer and keep your computer ON all the time if you want to receive PUSH notifications. Holy crap! These developers need to get their heads out of the sand and get into the 21at century. Who the heck wants to jump through that many hoops just to do something that google offers for free? Update 9-5-10: Well, I am still enjoying this mail app, but I have had a few issues with push every now and then. Emailing the dev, though, got me a very quick response (as usual), and he even sent me a test email to make sure that push was working again. :-) Anyway, I mainly just wanted to say that I found a way around not having a signature option with this app. I just added a signature "Sent from my iPhone" to the desktop client (using the desktop feature of this app), and it works like a charm!! :-) Being that I send pretty much 99% of my emails FROM my iPhone, I figured that it just made sense. Also, I'd like to mention that this app works VERY well in conjunction with Google Sync (exchange with Apple's default mail app). It's great to both receive a pop up (to screen my emails by importance) and receive all of my emails (via the default app by exchange push). GREAT combination!! And, by using both, I have the best of both worlds! :-) Original Review: This, by far, is THE best Gmail app that I've used!! To get the most out of it, though, you'll definitely want to get the push notifications and the "Plus" package. The dev is supper responsive too. I emailed him a few of the issues I was experiencing (auto refresh and badges), as well as some possible recommendations, and he emailed me back in a matter of minutes to let me know that they currently have an update waiting to be approved to correct some of these!! Now THAT'S what I call service!! :-) With that said, I'm really looking forward to seeing how this app develops. Also, I just saw, in the news, that Google will be revamping their own Gmail web app to allow for more HTML5 features, so I'm sure that will keep the competition high. I really liked this app until I realized I was being nickel and dimed for everything. They say the app is free, but there's so much stuff you have to buy it makes it almost worthless unless you buy that stuff. You have to pay to be able to pinch the screen. I'm not running for my glasses everytime I want to use this app. Why are they charging for that? I still can't figure out how to send a photo, but I suspect that's something I have to pay for, too. The last straw for me was I get a message that says I can hide the shopping cart icon in settings. I went to settings and selected off, but it was still there. The next thing I get is a notice telling me that I can get rid of the shopping cart icon if I buy just one thing. I ended up deleting it. This is the second time I've deleted this app. I hoped they had made it better, but nothing's really changed for the better. (translate)

This is primarily an app providing access to the gmail online page, but with two additions: 1. Push notifications of new mail (by annual subscription). This is less useful now that Google has started providing it too (and for free). There is also a bug currently where the badge always clears when you exit, even if you had some unread mail not attended to yet. The developer says they will fix this next release. For now, I put the Google app next to it to get the reliable count. It actually makes a useful pair until the bug is fixed. 10 unread messages, 2 since you last skimmed for anything critical, so you should look again. Kind of nice. 2. On-screen controls for moving to the top, bottom, next message, previous message, or back in the browser. The next and previous message buttons are fantastic, and very useful. The top and bottom controls are nice as well. The back button is helpful, but without a forward button to go with it, can cause issues. I recently took a link in an email which took me to a form to fill out. While laboriously filling out the form, I accidently touched the overlaying back button, which lost all my work. In the gmail native browser version, not only is there no overlay to accidently touch, but probably I could have just clicked forward to get back -- there is no forward here. So I tapped the link again and had to start over (arg). In retrospect, maybe I could have gone and found the open page in my browser, but this is a gotcha. I think having back and forward both would really help. Of course, Google has started adding gestures to their page, such as drag across a message to show an Archive button. If they add gestures inside messages to go to the next message (perhaps much like photo viewing) and maybe even vertical ones to go up and down, that will be a better solution since then there are fixed back and forward browser buttons below, and nothing to touch accidently. But in the meantime, the next and previous message controls are useful enough to make me prefer this app to the native one, even with the gotcha to watch out for. (translate)

This is a great application for all of the Gmail fans out there. It's good for those who do not like the iPhones built in email system. The iGmail app. is easy to use and has a superb interface. Once you get it you won't want to use email on your personal computer again. The only concern is that you cannot add contacts with the app. You have to log on to your personal account off of another computer in order to add contacts. Also, there isn't a way to save your signature like you can on the internet version. Other than these few inconvienances I recommend this app to any Gmail fans that have an iPhone. I use iGmail to retrieve messages from a Google Apps Standard Edition Gmail account. This capability requires an in-app purchase. I also have push capability, which also requires an in-app purchase. Overall, iGmail provides a marginally improved interface on top of the traditional Gmail iPhone. It retrieves mail quickly and keeps me signed in to the designated account, which saves me time. However, overall operation can be flaky at times. HTML messages often are zoomed poorly, requiring excessive horizontal and vertical scrolling. The messages should respect the browser viewport, but they often don't redraw correctly when switching from portrait to landscape orientations. Push notifications are inconsistent. I only seem to receive notifications for about 80% of my messages. The notifications are far from instantaneous, too, sometimes arriving 5 to 10 minutes after the message was delivered. Other times they arrive within 30 seconds to a minute. I also sometimes receive multiple notifications for the same message, even after acknowledging the first. Overall, many of the issues with iGmail are in part probably the result of constant tweaks Google is making to Gmail, which forces iGmail's developers to play catch-up. The frequency of updates is pretty good, and iGmail continues to improve. I would like to see the ability to use iGmail to manage multiple inboxes, especially on a Google Apps domain. My favorite feature is the transparent navigation overlay, which is handy and responsive when surfing the Web after clicking links in emails. IMHO, the developers should capitalize on this feature and create a custom version of Safari that includes the handy navigation overlay. While some enhanced versions of Safari offer some form of transparent browser chrome, I haven't seen it implemented as well as it is in in iGmail. (translate)
